Intro to Knitting/Crochet
These classes span two sessions (approximately 45 minutes each) and introduce basic stitches and techniques with a simple project. Fee: $50 plus cost of materials.
Beginner Knitting/Crochet
These classes span four sessions, use basic stitches/techniques, introduce increasing/decreasing stitches, and work on a beginner/easy project. Group Fee (2 or more learners): $75 plus cost of materials. Individual Fee: $100 plus cost of materials.
BeginnerPLUS Knitting/Crochet
These classes span four sessions building on the skills covered in Beginner Level while adding practice with different stitches in knitting (cables) or crochet (half-double, double, triple). Learner will work on a project that offers a reasonable challenge. Group Fee (2 or more learners): $75 plus cost of materials. Individual Fee: $100 plus cost of materials.
Emotional Support Chicken Knit or Crochet
Inspired by the “Emotional Support Chicken” pattern by Annette Corsino, Yarn Basket has created a class for Beginners.
This class spans two sessions that can be scheduled over two consecutive weeks, or at the beginning and end of one week. The latter schedule works well for people on a weeklong vacation. Fee: $50 plus the cost of materials. NOTE: Yarn Basket provides poly-fil and scrap yarn for crest, eyes, and beak. Safety Eyes or button eyes are available for purchase.

Aran Knit Sweater for Child or Adult
This class runs for twelve sessions. It’s for the confident knitter ready to take the next step and learn some of these wonderful stitches. Choice of pullover or cardigan. Check back for when this class runs again.
Sizing a Sweater
This class is for the knitter who is ready to commit to a sweater project and wants to create a well-fitting garment.

“Rainham” by Berroco Sweater Class
Liz will teach a beginner class for the “Rainham” pullover sweater from Berroco. This sweater was designed to use the bulky weight Emberstone yarn, a new Berroco product. This class is for knitters who have made such flat things as scarves and baby blankets, and are ready to try a sweater.
Class Schedule is Tuesdays 3:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. starting January 13, 2026, and ending February 17, 2026. That’s six consecutive weekly class meetings. If you have typical working hours and cannot arrive at 3:00 P.M., the Shop is open until 7:00 P.M. on Tuesdays. So, arrive as soon as you can after work. Liz will provide your instruction.
Cost is $120 plus materials. Cost of the pattern is included in class fee. Registration with a $25 non-refundable deposit is required. Limit 4 participants.
