Knots of Love
This program gives teens a community service opportunity at the Yarn Basket. Knots of Love is a non-profit that provides chemo caps and incubator blankets to cancer centers and neonatal intensive care units, respectively.
Volunteers use approved yarns and patterns to knit or crochet these needed items. Students in grades 7 through 12 can register in the Shop, receive materials and instruction at no cost, and knit or crochet caps and blankets. If a youngster needs community service hours for school or a faith community, Yarn Basket will track those hours and provide a letter when needed.
